Konsta Punkka nutre passione per fotografia e animali, dal parco a Instagram

Il giovane Konsta Punkka aka Squirrel whisperer nutre gli animali del parco insieme alla passione per la fotografia naturalistica

Chi vive in aree urbane che hanno sostituito i parchi con i centri commerciali e madre natura con i documentari, potrebbe anche considerare i fotografi naturalisti una sorta di messaggeri della grande signora, inviati per risvegliare legami sopiti e visioni preziose, non solo di lunedì.

Obiettivi investiti di un grande amore per la fotografia e la natura, che forse non sussurrano agli animali ma si avvicinano a loro tanto da riuscire a condividerne scatti sorprendenti, come quello del ventenne Konsta Punkka aka “Squirrel whisperer” ben noto alla comunità di Instagramers.

Uno studente finlandese di fotografia che ha iniziato a frequentare e immortalare gli abitanti del parco vicino casa sin da quando era al liceo, alzandosi all’alba per approfittare della luce, di risvegli e incontri inaspettati.

Un giovane fotografo che nutre il sogno di diventare un professionista, e magari riuscire a lavorare per National Geographic, come fa con gli animali che avvicina con tanta pazienza, un po’ di cibo e il rispetto necessario a conquistarne la fiducia senza metterne in pericolo la sicurezza o i ritmi.

“The feeding thing in my photographs is more like a thing I want to show to the people, that the animals trust me and they allow me to get really close to them. I don’t feed these guys much, just a few peanuts to get them stay close to me to take the shots.”

Come rivela nel corso di un’intervista su Bored Panda, giusto il tempo di riuscire a fotografare da distanza ravvicinata, con la sua NIKON D5100 e focali da 18-55mm a 105mm.

“I always think first when I feed the animals, ‘does this put the animal in danger?’ If there’s a fox walking in the middle of the city I won’t feed it, because it will come back and that can be dangerous for the fox, for example. But in the woods at winter time I think that a few peanuts for the birds and squirrels is not bad for them, because it’s already hard to find food in winter, so a little amount of peanuts in uninhabited areas won’t do any harm”.
